Transfer Portal DL Justin Rogers locks in Miami visit – 247Sports
As 247Sports reported earlier in the week, former Kentucky defensive lineman Justin Rogers will take an official visit to LSU this weekend. He’ll arrive in Baton Rouge Thursday and stay into Friday.
From there, Rogers heads to Coral Gables to hang out with the Miami staff on Saturday and Sunday.
Beyond the trips to LSU and to see the Hurricanes, a source tells 247Sports Rogers is looking to setup visits with Alabama and Auburn for the next week.
Other schools that have been in regular communication include Texas, Oklahoma and USC.
Miami’s recruiting class and portal class combined in 2023 ranks No. 4 nationally. LSU is right behind at No. 5.
Rogers, who ranked as the No. 52 overall player in the 2020 class per the 247Sports Composite, posted 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks this season in 12 starts. Rogers also earned a 71.3 PFF grad this year, making him one of the top interior defenders in the SEC.
