The annual White House Easter Egg Roll kicked off Monday morning in the nation’s capital. The annual event is being held on the South Lawn and includes educational activities for children and their families, according to the National Park Service.

This year’s events continue the theme of “EGGucation” – started in 2022 by first lady Dr. Jill Biden, an educator of more than 30 years. Since President Rutherford B. Hayes first invited children to egg-roll on the lawn, the cherished springtime event has become one of the longest-held traditions at the White House.
