Both crew members changed Cortaro’s lanes as ADOT was also working on proper sign changes and traffic light adjustments.
ADOT states that drivers need to be aware of new lane stripes, signs and traffic light timing changes.
Down the road:: No highway closure during weekend extensionADOT does not plan to close full construction or maintenance along state highways until Monday night, May 31st, to limit its impact on holiday weekend trips.
No complete construction closures are planned for the three-day weekend, but drivers will need to slow down and be prepared to join safely as they move closer to the existing work area. Said the ministry.
Drivers should take time to prepare for unplanned highway closures due to collisions, disabled vehicles, or accidents such as wildfires, especially during peak travel times.
Houghton Road Interchange DelayDrivers using the I-10 and Houghton Road interchanges should expect a night delay until Tuesday, June 1st due to bridge deck construction.
From 9:30 pm to 5:30 am daily, the crew will reroute across the entrance and exit ramps in one direction of the I-10.
Houghton will continue to operate, but can be delayed by up to 15 minutes as law enforcement agencies pass directly through the intersection.
