Eric J. McBride is the chief executive officer of the newly rebranded Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group. The multi-specialty physicians group was formerly known as Tenet Florida Physician Services. Previously, McBride was the chief operating officer for Reliance Health Accountable Care Organization, in Detroit, Michigan.

Sandy Lighterman was named as Broward County’s film commissioner. Lighterman comes from Miami-Dade County’s Office of Film & Entertainment, where she was film commissioner. Prior to that, Lighterman had a 30-year career as a film and television producer. She currently is vice president of the statewide nonprofit organization, Film Florida, and is a member of the Association of Film Commissioners International. The Film Commission is a division of the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development.

Patrick M. Fisher was appointed vice president and managing director of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. In the past, Fisher has held executive positions, including executive director of hotel operations at MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino in National Harbor, Maryland. In Las Vegas, Nevada, he was vice president of hotel operations at Circus Circus Resort & Casino, then later vice president of hotel operations at Park MGM and NoMad Resort & Casino. In 2020, Fisher was appointed senior corporate director of operations at Montage International in California, overseeing the Montage and Pendry brands.

Wilmington-based World Travel Holdings, cruise agency and leisure travel company, announced that its Co-chief executive officer/chairman Brad Tolkin was recognized, alongside his brother, Jeff Tolkin, with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th annual Travel Weekly Reader’s Choice Awards Gala, in New York. The Tolkins have decades of experience in the travel industry. In 2005 they co-founded World Travel Holdings. Prior to that they owned and operated Travel Impressions, privately held travel wholesalers, and Empress Travel, a retail travel agency with 40 stores.

The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association announced personnel changes within its government relations department, including the retirement of long-time senior vice president of legal and legislative affairs, Richard Turner. In addition, there were the following promotions: Samantha Padgett to vice president of government relations and general counsel, and Nicolette Hoffman to government relations manager.

The at-sea retailer Starboard Cruise Services appointed Perla Fernandez as chief financial officer and Mike Hunssinger Turek as chief commercial officer. Turek joined Starboard in 2019 as vice president, business performance and analysis. Over the course of 20 years, Fernandez has held various finance and accounting roles within Starboard, presiding over general accounting, financial and capital planning, budget management, data analytics, corporate reporting, cruise line contractual negotiations, financial models and agreements. Additionally, Fernandez led Retail teams as a General Manager.

The Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, an economic and education development engine in South Florida, located at Nova Southeastern University, announced that it appointed Katerina Perez as its new executive director of development and head of business relations. Most recently, Perez led corporate sponsorships and partner development with the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

The Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce announced new leaders for its board of directors. New board members include Jeff Dash of Delray Beach Experience; Jeff Perlman of CDS Holdings; Stuart Silver of SRS Consulting; Rob Long of Door2Door Strategies; Chuck Halberg of Stuart & Shelby Development; Sean Chaderton of SouthState Bank; and Shaun Hall of Viral Vision Marketing.

Duane Morris LLP appointed Kevin Vance as managing partner of its Boca Raton, office, succeeding Harvey W. Gurland, who has served in that role since 2011. Gurland will continue as the managing partner of its Miami office. Also, two Duane Morris partners in Boca Raton are serving in firm leadership roles. Driscoll Ugarte and Patrick Gallagher are two of the team leads for the Duane Morris Life Sciences and Medical Technologies multi-disciplinary industry group. Ugarte will now take on a larger role with respect to marketing and recruiting on behalf of Duane Morris in South Florida.

The professional association of landscape architects American Society of Landscape Architects elected Witkin Hults + Partners Founder and Chief Executive Officer Andrew M. Witkin to its Council of Fellows for his exceptional contribution to the landscape architecture profession and society at large.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced that Dale Edwards joined as vice president of marketing. He has worked with such diverse organizations as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Disney Theatrical Productions, Manhattan Theatre Club, SpotCo Advertising and The Metropolitan Opera. Most recently, he led the marketing and communications team at Houston Grand Opera.
