On Tuesday’s episode, host Ryan Seacrest announced that a singer had dropped out of the competition, making space for judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie’s “first alternate” to rejoin the show.

The spot went to 16-year-old Paige Anne, who was narrowly eliminated at the end of Hollywood Week after an intense sing-off with Megan Danielle.
