How to watch Miami Hurricanes vs. Virginia Tech Hokies on TV, live stream – Palm Beach Post

The up-and-down nature of last Saturday’s 31-28 loss to rival Florida State was emblematic of the Miami Hurricanes season so far — a slow start, then a burst in the latter half followed by a rough last few minutes.

The loss — the Hurricanes’ first in the series since 2016 — was followed a couple days later by the firing of Miami athletic director Blake James. The big question is, will head football coach Manny Diaz be next?

The Hurricanes (5-5 overall, 3-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference) will have to put that to the back of their mind as they host Virginia Tech Saturday in their last home game of the season. The Hokies (5-5, 3-3) have an identical record to Miami, but sit just below them in the ACC Coastal standings due to having more home losses.

Virginia Tech is coming off a blowout win over Duke in which Hokes quarterback Braxton Burmeister threw for three touchdowns and one interception. Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw four touchdowns but also two interceptions in the game against FSU.

The teams have matched up fairly evenly in the last few years, with Miami winning 3 of the last 5 games, including last year’s contest. The Hurricanes lead the overall series 23-15.
