Brink Leads Tigers on First Day of USA Intercollegiate – Memphis Official Athletic Site

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis Tigers began the 2021-22 season on Friday at the USA Intercollegiate at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia & The Crossings in Mobile, Ala., carding a team total of 305 (+17) to finish the day in 14th place.

 

KEY MOMENTS

• Sophomore Rebecca Brink led the Tiger charge on the first day of the USA Intercollegiate, firing a team-best 74 (+2) to tie for 32nd after 18 holes.

• Brink was consistent the whole round on Saturday, posting a 37-37 with three birdies on the day.

• Freshman Katie Stinchcomb posted a solid start to her collegiate career, firing a 76 (+4) to tie for 52nd place after one round.

Both Victoria Gallegos and Brook Veres sit in a tie for 67th with scores of 77 (+5), while Julia Matzat is tied for 74th with a first-round score of 78 (+6).

Victoria England is tied for 86 with a score of 80 (+8).
